House Rules
We welcome the addition of your house rules to Battle of the Bands. Please email them
to us, and after review, we may feature them on our website!
- From Chris & Seth Tanner: "When attempting to play a Reputation card on a Band Member if you succeed the card has the desired effect (positive or negative), but if you fail the card has the opposite effect (positive or negative). You can only attempt to play positive Reputation card effects on your Band Members and negative Reputation card effects on opposing Band Members."
EXAMPLE: Seth has X-17 (1 HP) with a Kazoo (HP 2) and he wants to place the Party Animal (+2 HP) Reputation card on it. He must roll a 3 or less for this to occur. He rolls a 5, and instead of becoming a Party Animal (+2 HP), X-17 becomes an Alcoholic (-3 HP)! Bender would be proud!
- From Dennis Wise: "Since you're in charge of the band, you have the authority to kick any
non-ME band member out of your band on your turn."
- From Dennis Wise: "On a Reputation, if you roll a '6' and the reputation doesn't stick,
then the opposite reputation happens. (i.e. You wanted Johnny T. with an Air
Guitar to be 'Cool' which you would need to roll a 4 or less, and you rolled a '6',
then Johnny T. is actually a 'Fool' since everyone knows an Air Guitar isn't a real Guitar.)"
- From Rachel Anne & Chris Ehrhardt: "If you win 3 games in a row then you get to make a game rule.
(example The King gets automatic nepotism)"
- From Rachel Anne & Chris Ehrhardt: "The game does not begin until everyone announces their band names.
(Poor Man's Coreys, Edible Goblins, Scooby on a Stick, China Sea Pickles, Geriatric Infants,
Midget Rootbeer, Einstein on Broadway)"
- From Rachel Anne & Chris Ehrhardt: "We draw our ME cards as if playing Go Fish."
