FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Third World Games Gives Fans and Retailers a Sneak Peek of Their Newest Card
Game, Portable Adventures, at Gen Con Indy 2003, Booth 444
Westminster, CA - July 16, 2003 - Third World Games, Inc. allows fans and
retailers an exclusive "sneak-peek" preview of Portable Adventures at booth
444 at Gen Con Indy: July 24 - 27, 2003. Portable Adventures is a new
non-collectable card game system, and will be released in August 2003. Each
set, Lair of the Rat King, and 8th Grade, will feature 60 cards, a two-page
rule sheet and four dice with a MSRP of $12.95.
Each game features characters, items, events, and adventures; players need a
certain number of adventure points to win the game. Dan Smith, Origins Award
nominated designer of Battle of the Bands, is the creator of Portable
Adventures. He comments, "The unique strengths of the Portable Adventures
line is the combination of different decks within the game system; players
can play the decks separately or they can shuffle all their cards together
and get a wild new game!"
Third World Games is inviting everyone attending Gen Con to visit booth 444
to get an overview of the game and a demonstration on how the game is
played. Fans are encouraged to purchase the game weeks before it appears on
retailer's shelves while retailers (with a business card) demonstrating the
game can get a copy of it to take back to their store for promotional
purposes.
In addition, everyone stopping by the booth at Gen Con can still receive
demonstrations of and purchase other Third World Games products including
Battle of the Bands, the Testimony of Jacob Hollow and Firestorm.
